More about our previous mission trip to Villiersdorp

The Connect Centre is our longest running project, we have been working there since 2013. We used themes like Mother’s Day, Fun Day and Christmas to teach the children about the love of God, thereby building lasting relationships. Many children have grown and developed into responsible teenagers.

Connect started 10 years ago when 3 ladies had a dream to help transform the lives of children and youth, from poor or “at risk” homes in the rural town of Villiersdorp. Over the years they have concentrated on giving practical help like nutritious meals, school uniforms and school supplies, clothing and transport to various outings.
In addition, they have also organized life skills orientation in the form of dance lessons, educational outings, arts and crafts and life skills and adventure camp training.
Sadly, some children in the community have suffered in abusive situations and Connect has been able to ease the pain of these little ones in the form of professional counselling in a loving and safe environment

More about Life Skills
The partnership between The Bay Christian Family Church, Connect and Experience Africa Mission Tours means that the teenagers obtain wonderful practical training in wood work, jewellery making, cooking, and Basic Waitering. We are all committed to prepare our youth for a better life ahead.

Connect Buildings
Many people volunteered hours of their time and skills as well as donations to renovate the buildings known as Connect Centre on Fairview Farm. This has become a safe haven, a place where the children can relax, have fun, and most of all soak up the love we have for them.
